Ohio Senate Bill 153 "Requiring citizenship verification before an elector may vote" has been introduced in the General Government Committee of the Ohio Senate.

The Ohio Election Integrity Network (OEIN) has identified 19 recommended amendments that we would like to see added to the bill in the Ohio Senate before it goes to committee vote.

We would like to encourage the sponsors of the bill and the Ohio Senate General Government Committee to work with OEIN on these amendments – and we would like you to add your voice to this initiative.

The bill covers the following topics:
- Proof of citizenship required to vote
- Processing voter registrations and updates
- Voter roll maintenance
- Provisional voting
- Absent voting
- Election petitions
